I am forgetful, careless and clumsy. Can I change this?

I don%26#039;t want everybody to think I%26#039;m completely stupid - I%26#039;m not - but I am chronically forgetful, tend to trip, drop or walk into things and seem to exude unprofessionalism. My friends all think it%26#039;s funny, and generally smile at my antics. But I%26#039;m in my late teens and I still have so many dumb accidents I just feel like a little kid.


Is there any way I can seem more in control of myself? My mind... it is fine for schoolwork, I have a great memory for facts and details, and have got straight As for years. But the mundane matters of everyday life? Well, they go in one ear and out the other, as they say. I write stuff down sometimes, then what do I do but lose the darn piece of paper!


I also do this a lot: begin telling someone something and then midway through a sentence, forget what I was talking about, even how the sentence was going to end. Often I feel as though my mind is elsewhere and my talk is just surface babble.


Apart from ginkgo tablets, is there anything I can do?! Help!

One day you will be laying in your coffin and, by that time, nobody will care that you did dumb things when you were so young.





So, don%26#039;t worry about it. Enjoy yourself and things will work out.

Reply:Forgetfulness and carelessness are sign of arrogance or conceit. I don%26#039;t know about the clumsyness maybe your heads too big for your body. lol
Reply:Maybe you need to slow down and take a deep breath. Take the extra couple of seconds to compose yourself. Get yourself a voice activated pocket organizer. Get your daily information there, you wont loose that. Make sure you are getting proper nutrition. When you are hungry, its hard to think clearly. You are just going through an awkward stage right now. It will pass. Good luck.
